Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

Air fryer bacon wrapped asparagus is one of those simple recipes that always feels like a treat. If you’re looking for easy appetizer recipes, this one comes together in under 20 minutes with tender asparagus wrapped in crispy bacon and finished with a buttery brown sugar glaze.

The combination of sweet and salty flavors makes every bite hard to resist. The asparagus stays tender-crisp while the bacon cooks up rich and savory, creating the perfect contrast in texture and flavor.

It’s also an incredibly easy recipe to pull together, especially with the air fryer doing most of the work. Everything cooks quickly and comes out beautifully crisp without much effort at all.

You only need a handful of ingredients too—asparagus, bacon, butter, brown sugar, plus a little salt and pepper for seasoning. Simple ingredients, but they come together into something seriously delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb asparagus
  • 12 pieces center cut bacon
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoons ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Wrap one slice of bacon around 3–4 asparagus spears, creating small bundles. Repeat until all of the bacon has been used.
  2. In a small bowl, stir together the melted butter, brown sugar, salt, and pepper.
  3. Lightly coat the air fryer basket with nonstick spray. Brush the brown sugar mixture over each asparagus bundle.
  4. Arrange 4–5 bundles in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook at 390°F for about 10 minutes, or until the bacon is crisp and cooked through.
  5. Remove and serve warm, then repeat with the remaining bundles.

Notes

  • Center-cut or thin-sliced bacon works best for this recipe, as thicker bacon may not crisp up as evenly in the air fryer.
  • Avoid overcrowding the basket so the air can circulate properly. Cooking about 4–5 bundles at a time usually gives the best results.
