Cake Batter:
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 heaping Tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 1/2 Tbsp buttermilk
- 1/4 cup hot water out of the tap
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
Frosting:
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 1/2 Tbsp milk I use whipping cream but can also use buttermilk
- 1 Tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
