For the Salad:

- 1 pound brussels sprouts, quartered
- 2 small tart apples, cut into 1/4-inch slices (You can also use 1 big apple)
- salt and fresh ground pepper, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh chopped rosemary
- pomegranate arils, for garnish
For the Walnuts:
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
