Ingredients

  • 1 9 inch pie crust *see note

Pumpkin Filling:

  • 15 ounces pure pumpkin NOT pumpkin pie filling
  • ¾ cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Praline Topping:

  • 1 cup pecans finely chopped
  • ⅓ cup packed dark brown sugar
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon dark corn syrup may substitute light
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

Notes

Use your favorite pie crust.

For a quick graham cracker crust, you need:

  • 6 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ¼ cup sugar

To make:

  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.

  • Press evenly into a 9" pie plate.

  • Refrigerate at least 30 minutes before filling.
